Good Morning August

I woke up on Sunday morning and couldn't believe it was already August.  Another month has passed much faster than the last.  Have you ever wondered why the days sometimes seem extremely long, but the months pass by in the blink of an eye?  And the seasons seem to pass even faster?  Before you know it summer will be over and the beautiful colors of fall will be among us.  Personally, I love the summer, but I think my favorite time of year is fall.  It is still warm enough to enjoy outdoor activities, but cool enough to not need a pool close by if you spend any length of time outside.

And speaking of pools, Johnathan and I spent a wonderful long weekend in Winston-Salem this past weekend visiting his mother and celebrating her birthday.  The weather was pretty crappy and surprisingly chilly for July/August, but the change from record breaking heat was nice and we did not mind at all.  It was finally the season to get in their pool, but because of the weather the only two enjoying themselves were Levi and Johnathan.  It was actually too cold for anyone else to venture in the water.

Here are a few pictures of my little swimmers! (By the way, this post is old news now, and Levi's favorite thing to do is swim!  We couldn't get him out of the water this weekend!)
