PINK!!!

We found out on Wednesday that baby Kemp is a healthy, very active, little GIRL!  She was 11 ounces, measuring about a week ahead of schedule, and her heartbeat was 155.  We also found out that based on her arm and leg measurements, that she is in the 84th percentile for legs and 93th percentile of arms... but who are we kidding here... we knew she would be a long baby.

I wanted to have a gender reveal party (I called it a Sex Party) as a fun way to announce the baby's sex to our friends, but unfortunately, because the UNC v. Duke game fell on Wednesday, we decided it would be better to wait and have the party on Friday.  (Johnathan gets a little intense watching his heels play.)  That meant essentially three whole days of waiting to tell all our friends, and it killed me.  Plus, the family members we did tell had to wait on gossiping about the news until after Friday too because we didn't want anything to leak out in this small town... and especially not on facebook.

We got BBQ from Jordan's and grilled out hotdogs and had a blast.  I loved seeing everyone's reactions when they walked in the house to find pink flowers, balloons, and a big sign saying "It's a Girl!"  Saturday we drove up to Winston-Salem to spend the rest of the weekend with Johnathan's mom and John, and to try and finish our registry at the giant BabiesRUs in Winston.  We are so excited about our precious little girl and can't wait to meet her!
